Assistant to the Vice President of Athletics and Athletics Business Coordinator

Anderson University’s Department of Athletics invites applications for a full-time Assistant to the Vice President and Athletics Business Coordinator. Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive, liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. The Assistant to the Vice President and Athletics Business Coordinator provides direct administrative support to the Vice President for Athletics and the Athletics Department staff.  Key tasks include assisting with Workday processes associated with purchases, invoices, and budget management; assisting with scheduling Athletic Department facilities; and providing critical administrative support in scheduling all athletics team travel. Additional responsibilities include assisting with Athletics sponsored golf tournament and other special events and game management support on game days, as needed.

Knowledge equivalent of that gained through a bachelor’s degree and three to five years of high level administrative experience is required. Previous work experience in collegiate athletic programs or a related field is preferred. A commitment to the holistic development of a diverse student population is essential for this position. Strong project management, communication, customer service, and organizational skills also required, as well as MS Office proficiency.
