Teaching at AU

What year did you start teacing at AU?

2018

How would you describe your classes to someone who has never attended one?

I teach in the clinical setting and strive to have an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect between teacher and learner. A safe environment where students are valued, encouraged and supported, is optimal for learning. Here students' excitement to learn is allowed to flourish, and their inquisitiveness can be paralleled with confidence. I also believe that teaching and learning is synergistic and collaboration plays a role. Educators need to be open to what students can teach them. Teaching and learning is not linear, but a circle where each facilitates the other.
