At AU I enjoy the small class room sizes. As a teacher, I have the ability to give my students the attention they need. Also, a smaller classroom creates an interactive environment that has the opportunity to become a community. Peers become comfortable sharing ideas and ultimately connections are made. Some of these connections lead to life-long friendships.

Chemistry is often referred to as the “central science.” Chemistry is relevant in many other areas of study such as geology, astronomy, physics, and medicine. A basic knowledge of chemistry can lead to a better understanding of the world around us and the chemical reactions that occur in our everyday life.

I have the opportunity to offer a Christian education, which recognizes that learning does not have to be independent of faith and a belief system. It can ultimately encompass both.
