My faith is central to who I am as a person. I love being in an environment where I can share that as a natural part of my teaching. The faculty, staff and students at AU are infinitely interesting. This is a lovely campus, especially in the fall and spring. I love the oak trees in front of Merritt!

I believe that the study of theatre arts has the potential to make us more compassionate and vibrant human beings who have the skills needed to make a difference in our world. Whether you go to a career on Broadway or a career in ministry or business, what you learn in the theatre about creativity, adaptability, work ethic, interpersonal relationships and group dynamics will serve you well.

Robert has received special note from the regional Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for five of his productions including The Tempest, The Imaginary Invalid, The Misanthrope, Mother Courage and Saint Joan. Favorite acting roles have included Marc Antony in Julius Caesar, Morris in The Heiress, Stephen in Arlene Hutton’s play Running and Ulee in Sharr White’s Annapurna.  Robert has done commercial work for clients including Lowe’s Home Improvement and American Express.
