I love the mission fit of AU and the ability to discuss Jesus Christ as I work with colleagues and students who have shared beliefs. I love getting to know teacher candidates and encouraging them as they begin teaching young minds. Providing pedagogical experiences for my students while developing relationships with them is such a positive aspect of teaching at AU.

Teachers make a tremendous difference in the lives of each and every student in their classrooms. Behind every single lawyer, doctor, parent was a teacher who instilled their love for learning.

Teacher of the Year for Cherokee County’s Sixes Elementary School in Canton, Georgia.

As a mother of three AU graduates, I am excited to be on this campus in another capacity as I make AU my home. I am thrilled to be a part of such an engaging and diverse faculty/staff. As a former classroom teacher of many years, I enjoy sharing my experiences and building relationships with future teachers in such a well-known, prestigious program in the College of Education. The faculty and staff are a family that has welcomed me with open arms.
