Kenneth J. Knapp is a Professor and Director of the Center for Cybersecurity at Anderson University, South Carolina. As Director, he manages a staff that offers four undergraduate majors in cybersecurity as well as several graduate courses supporting business and computer science programs.
Dr. Knapp graduated from DeSales University, Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Computer Science. He completed his MBA and PhD in Information Systems from Auburn University, Alabama.
He served 20 years in the US Air Force as a Communications & Information officer gaining expertise in software development, network operations, cryptography and project management. He also served as an Associate Professor at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado.
Before coming to Anderson University, Dr. Knapp was a Professor at the University of Tampa where he was the founding Director of undergraduate and graduate Cybersecurity programs.
Knapp’s specialties include cybersecurity, security governance, information security effectiveness, cyber risk management, systems architecture, ethical hacking, data security & privacy, network security and cloud security.
