Academic Background
Before pursuing a career in higher education, Kayla served eight years of active duty in the Navy as a Naval Flight Officer, deploying twice to the Middle East on aircraft carriers USS Carl Vinson and USS Nimitz. Kayla enjoys running, traveling, and all things Disney and Star Wars. She resides in Simpsonville, SC with her husband, Peter, and their two children, Elizabeth and Jack.
