I attended a small state university in MN to obtain my bachelors degree. My excellent professors there inspired me to pursue mathematics both as a subject of study and as a research topic. Much of my desire to teach at the university level stems from my experiences there.
I received my PhD in Mathematics with a focus on Graph Theory from the University of South Carolina under the direction of Éva Czabarka and László Székely. I could not have asked for better advisors. They modeled how to mentor research students and how to balance effective teaching and productive research.
Research Areas: Combinatorics, Graph Theory, Sports Analytics
