How would you describe your classes to someone who has never attended one?
Stylistically, I try to keep the lectures conversational. I encourage plenty of interaction on the content. And my goal is to elicit critical thinking on the part of all students.

Music Appreciation
AU is a welcoming environment with a stellar arts department and top notch facilities. The students are of a high caliber.
I wish people realized that they have more creative capacity and musical talent than they assume.
Developed a course for pianists to learn the practical side of teaching piano and running a private piano studio.
I have had voice students win first, second, and third places at the state and regional levels of the NATS auditions. In addition, I’ve had multiple students advance to the national round of the NATS auditions, including one first place winner nationally. I’ve had multiple students rise to the final levels of auditions for The Voice and American Idol as well. I’m a member of the board for SCNATS.
I enjoy helping students understand their creative capacity.
