Fast Facts

I value the opportunity to teach at a Christian university, where I can openly share my faith and guide students in evaluating ideas through the lens of a Christian worldview.

I wish prospective students understood that clinical mental health counseling is more than a career—it’s a calling to walk alongside others in their most vulnerable moments, offering hope, healing, and compassion. From a Christian worldview, this work is a powerful way to reflect Christ’s love, serve others with empathy and integrity, and be a light in the midst of brokenness. Counselors have the opportunity to be instruments of God’s grace, promoting emotional and spiritual wholeness while honoring the dignity and worth of every individual.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor.

I enjoy guiding students to think critically, evaluate diverse perspectives, and thoughtfully engage with information through the lens of a Christian worldview, while also collaborating with colleagues to foster a rich, supportive learning environment that encourages both individual growth and collective wisdom.

My academic work is dedicated to advancing the understanding and application of trauma-informed practices in both clinical and educational settings. I teach courses focused on the deep, transformative processes of trauma healing, integrating evidence-based approaches with an emphasis on promoting spiritual and personal growth. I aim to equip students with the knowledge and tools to support individuals in their healing journeys while fostering resilience and holistic development.
