The Kim S. Miller Family Enterprise Institute of South Carolina at Anderson University (FEISC) is pleased to announce Cothran Properties as its newest member.

Based in Greenville, Cothran Properties has a successful track record in planning and developing properties across the Southeast since 1986. Their expertise is in retail, industrial, multi-family, residential community and townhome development.  They provide development, brokerage, sales, financial, due diligence, entitlement and property management services.

An initiative of the Anderson University College of Business, FEISC is a premier resource dedicated to supporting and empowering family-owned enterprises across the state. Through a combination of educational programs, cutting-edge research, peer learning and robust membership engagement, FEISC provides family enterprises with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive.

“As developers with experience in multiple property types, we are mindful of the opportunities that exist within each product type, at each stage of the product or business cycle,” said Will Cothran, director of finance at Cothran Properties. “As a firm, we seek to identify those opportunities and acquire and develop properties that will produce the maximum value for our investors and clients.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Cothran Properties as our newest member,” said Dr. Brad Bechtold, executive director of The Kim S. Miller Family Enterprise Institute of South Carolina. “By joining the Institute, Cothran Properties will have access to a network of like-minded family enterprises, providing opportunities for camaraderie and peer learning that can enhance their own family business practices.”

As part of their membership, Cothran Properties will engage in various FEISC activities, including educational seminars, networking events and collaborative projects designed to enhance the sustainability and success of family-owned enterprises.

“We are looking forward to building relationships with other family enterprises that share the same challenges of owning a family business,” said Eric Cothran, asset manager of Cothran Properties. “We feel that becoming a member of the Family Enterprise Institute of South Carolina will bring us new opportunities to expand our knowledge, serve our clients better, and forge new relationships with fellow family business leaders in our community.”
