The Kim S. Miller Family Enterprise Institute of South Carolina (FEISC) provides education, networking, support resources and research to help family enterprises and those involved in or serving them maximize their overall health and sustainability. Founded in 2021, the FEISC fosters learning, sharing and creative solutions regarding the many critical issues and problems faced by family enterprises.
A Founding Family is an independent family enterprise owner with entrepreneurial spirit and a belief in free enterprise. They are family enterprises that have transitioned into and beyond the second generation of family ownership.
“Today the world of business has never been more difficult. The world of families has never been more complicated,” said Dr. Brad Bechtold, executive director of The Kim S. Miller Family Enterprise Institute of South Carolina. “When you put the two together, the complexity grows exponentially. At the Kim S. Miller Family Enterprise Institute of South Carolina, we want our community and state to be strong economically. Family enterprises are integral to that. We are so fortunate to have William and Matt Jackson of Instel Power Products become a Founding Family.”
Located in Simpsonville, South Carolina, Instel Power Products provides electrical solutions that are backed by deep product knowledge, a half-century of experience and a well-stocked inventory of new and legacy components from circuit breakers and transformers to fuses, and renewal parts across all major manufacturers. Every member of the Instel team is a highly trained electrical professional with a problem-solving approach when it comes to testing and repairing electrical equipment at your facility.
“We decided to make a commitment as a Founding Family to the Kim S. Miller Family Enterprise Institute of South Carolina because there is a significant need for such a resource in our state,” said William and Matt Jackson, owners of Instel Power Products. “The Institute has tremendous potential. The potential will be realized by bringing family enterprise stakeholders together to learn and share; thus, strengthening family and business sustainability well beyond the current generation. We look forward to the camaraderie, mutual support, personal and professional development that we will experience as a Founding Family.”
Instel also provides engineering services, medium voltage terminations, circuit breaker testing and on-site emergency response, as well as first-class manufacturing services including retrofits, equipment refurbishment, bus fabrication and project consultation.
About Instel Power Products
Instel Power Products has been in business for more than five decades and has seen it all. Their electrical solutions are backed by a team of highly trained professionals with a deep knowledge of modern equipment and legacy products. In many cases, they say they know more about vintage equipment than the manufacturers. They pride themselves on the fact that they are not just a parts supplier and an equipment tester, but think of themselves as problem-solvers first because their customers rely on Instel to keep them up and running and to be there at a moment’s notice in an emergency.
