Anderson University in 2021 was ranked the No. 5 South Carolina Top Work Place and also won the Large Employer award for Best Work Life Balance. It is the second time in a year the University was given top marks for workplace culture, following its designation in 2020 as a member of the Great Colleges to Work For Honor Roll.
In selecting Anderson University, Greenville Business Magazine cited positive feedback that employees submitted in a survey. This is the first time that Anderson University has participated in this survey, conducted by independent research company Energage, which surveys more than 22 million employees nationwide, in partnership with Integrated Media Publishing, the publisher of Greenville Business Magazine.
The Great Colleges to Work For program is one of the largest and most respected workplace recognition programs in the country. Now in its fourteenth year, it recognizes the colleges that get top ratings from their employees regarding workplace practices and policies. Please feel free to cite the below information in announcing your institution’s recognition in the program.
“One of the most satisfying and exciting things about being named a Top Workplace in South Carolina is the recognition is based 100 percent on input and feedback from our faculty and staff on their experience working at Anderson University,” said Director of Human Resources Amy Porpilia. Favorable comments included flexible schedules, understanding managers and a focus on efficiency.
The need for efficiency and creativity was especially evident this past year as Anderson University employees rose to the challenge of providing in-person classes all year. By implementing safety protocols, adjusting classroom spaces, modifying student activities, and thinking out-of-the-box on almost every aspect of our work, the University achieved record enrollment!
“I’m so thankful our employees enjoy working at Anderson University and I know this translates into a stronger, more excellent experience for our students,” Porpilia said.
