How would you describe your classes to someone who has never attended one?

I strive for students to leave each class with a sense of accomplishment after creating code, an app, or a website. My classes start with instruction and then we move on to practical learning; coding examples and eventually simple to complex apps.

Fast Facts

I strive for students to leave each class with a sense of accomplishment after creating code, an app, or a website. My classes start with instruction and then we move on to practical learning; coding examples and eventually simple to complex apps.

I teach courses in the Coding and App Development minor, including Coding 1, Coding 2, Web Development, Mobile Interface Design, and the Capstone.

I enjoy the Christian atmosphere, the intelligent and inquisitive students, and the small class sizes. I like to get to know my students. I also want to share my love of coding with these students to help them make their dreams come true.

I wish students knew how much even one coding class can benefit them – not only in the job market but also in their ability to problem solve in any discipline.

I have co-hosted and/or helped with the CWIC conference multiple times – a regional conference for women in computing.

I have hosted the North American Quilling Guild’s annual conference in 2001 and have also produced and self-published quilling patterns.

I enjoy the enthusiastic students and Christian atmosphere.
