Cynthia says nursing is a difficult discipline that requires emotional stability. “We as nurses deal with life and death on a daily basis, and have to be that shoulder for the family to cry on, be mad at, and still show our support for them. This is a piece of my discipline that does not often get conveyed to the prospective student. Nursing is not for the faint at heart.”
