Academic Background
In addition to teaching, Dr. Smith is a faculty sponsor for Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society, Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society, and the Finance Club. He has served on the Academic Policy and Procedures Committee and as the Director for the Center for Finance and Economics at Anderson University. Dr. Smith’s main areas of research are in economics education and financial economics.

I desire to see students academically challenged within a faith-based environment in order to reach their potential as God has gifted them. I believe Anderson University does an excellent job of combining academic rigor with spiritual development in order to help students make a significant impact on the world around them.
