In what has become a frequent occurrence at both spring and fall graduation ceremonies at Anderson University, the fall commencement on December 13 will feature a record number of graduates: 191.
The 6 p.m. graduation ceremony, which takes place in the Henderson Auditorium, will also feature the first graduates of the School of Nursing at Anderson University. Fifteen students will graduate in the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program, an intensive 15-month program designed for adults who seek to change careers and enter nursing.
Additionally, 60 students will receive master’s degrees and 51 will receive bachelor’s degrees through the AU’s evening program for working adults seeking to complete their college degree.
In keeping with Anderson tradition, the faculty chair will deliver the commencement address. Dr. Jim Haughey, Professor of English, will do the honors at this year’s commencement.
