The popular spring ceramic sale at Anderson University makes its return April 26 and 27. Anderson University art students and faculty are giving the public a chance to purchase original bowls, mugs, plates and sculptures Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm at the Belk Theatre of the Rainey Fine Arts Center.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit the AU Art Education Club’s efforts to bring new equipment into the program, defray education-related travel cost for students, and charitable initiatives.
“Our students enjoy sharing their work with the community,” says AU art professor Nathan Cox. “There’s no better gift for the ‘person who has everything’ than original, one-of-a-kind artwork. And best of all, it is affordable and functional.”
While the popular sale inevitably draws crowds of “early birds” looking for the best pieces, new works will be put on sale throughout each day, guaranteeing a good selection up until 4 pm.
