Anderson University Enactus is beginning a new and innovative partnership with e-Merge @ The Garage. This new venture gives Anderson University students the unique opportunity to gain valuable, real world experience and be a part of economic development in the Anderson area.

Enactus is a worldwide non-profit that focuses on empowering communities through entrepreneurial spirit. Teams from across the country undertake service projects to better the quality of life of those around them.

e-Merge @ the Garage is an entrepreneurial space and program that will focus on a public/private collaborative with local industry partners. The space is located at 102 N. Murray Avenue. The programs consist of accelerator programs focusing on Health Care, IT Intelligence, Culinary Arts/Agri-Business, and Education opportunities.

“Anderson University’s Enactus group was a natural fit in engaging the younger generation and collaborating with e-Merge @ the Garage. We look forward in growing with them as entrepreneurial neighbors in the near future at their facility on the adjacent corner of Main and Whitner” Noted Craig Kinley Chairman and Founder of e-Merge @ the Garage

Anderson University’s Enactus (formerly S.I.F.E. or Students in Free Enterprise) has a long history of working with small businesses in the community. AU Enactus looks to move into a new era of economic development and empowerment in the downtown area through partnerships with the city of Anderson and e-Merge.

“I am really looking forward to this new and exciting partnership. Our collaboration with e-Merge @ the Garage has a huge amount of potential to ramp up not only our Enactus team, but the Anderson community as a whole.” Stated Leeann Sanders, President Elect for the upcoming year.
