Digital Media major, Rachel Funchess, accepted a coveted Studio Internship in Hollywood, CA. She will be working at L.A. Castle Studios this summer. Castle is known for cutting edge technology and works with clients like: Disney, HBO and Netflix. Rachel is a member of the COM 492 class, Hollywood On Location. Contacts in Hollywood, working with the class, helped Rachel get a SKYPE interview with the studio and helped her land the position. The goal of COM 492 is to help our AU students to network and interact with producer, writers and professionals in the Hollywood industry.
Eight amazing Anderson University students in the COM 492 Class, Hollywood on Location, will be going to Los Angeles in May. The goal of the class is for the students to network and interact with producers, writers and executives in Television and Film.

CAS Communications Major Jack Blanco's film won a trip to see the Netflix's premiere of Like Father starring Kelsey Grammar. Jack had 24 hours to shoot and edit a spontaneous family adventure and He Won! The national social media contest was sponsored by Netflix and Royal Caribbean.
Ashley Smith along with 4 other CAS students won a coveted "Remi Award" from the WorldFest Houston International Film Festival. This festival was the first film festival to give top honors to George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, the Coen Brothers and Ang Lee!
