The Southeastern regional meeting of the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS) will meet March 22-23 at Anderson University, hosted by AU’s College of Christian Studies.
The ETS meeting will attract college and seminary faculty, graduate students and church leaders from throughout the Southeast to hear and present papers on a variety of biblical, theological and ministry-related topics. The theme of this year’s meeting is “The Origins Debate.”
The keynote address for the conference will be presented by William Dembski, one of the best-known authors and speakers in the field of Intelligent Design. Dembski is Senior Fellow with Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture. Previously he has taught at Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Ft. Worth and at Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, where he founded its Center for Theology and Science. Prior to that he was on the faculty of Baylor University, where he headed the first Intelligent Design think-tank at a major research university.
In addition to Dembski, theme-related addresses will be presented by Jed Mancusko, associate professor of Physics at Wake Forest University, and Kenneth Turner, professor of Bible at Bryan College. The conference will begin Friday, March 22 at 1:30 pm and will conclude at noon on Saturday.
