Human Subjects Committee/Institutional Review Board

Click here for information about how to submit an IRB

The Anderson University Human Subjects Committee

The Anderson University Human Subjects Committee is responsible for making decisions about what constitutes human subject research and the implementation of human subject’s research protection.  Institutional Review Board (IRB) review of research serves to assure the protection of rights and welfare of human subjects and is a requirement for institutions receiving federal funds.

Any research involving human subjects conducted using Anderson University facilities or property, financially supported with Anderson University funds, or performed by Anderson faculty, staff, or students MUST be reviewed and approved by the Anderson University Human Subjects Committee, even if this research has already been approved by another IRB.

The information for submitting an IRB proposal and the required forms are at the HSC’s Canvas page here. This page contains more information about what is required to submit an IRB. If you have questions about the IRB submission process, please email HSC.
