Cancer research starts at Anderson University, but it does not stop here. Dr. Ivankovic is lobbying in DC and delivering a unified message to Congress and the White House on the need for increased cancer-related appropriations. Not even a fractured leg can stop her.
Every year we meet at our associate dean Carrie Koenigstein's house to eat dinner, play games and take silly photos together. We keep in touch with our successful alumni as they continue their careers in the field of health care.
The Greenwood Genetic Center visits us yearly at Anderson University and our students perform a breast cancer lab inside their mobile laboratory.
Every February we take an overnight two-day trip to attend a medical conference at MUSC. We are proud to say that our Anderson students have been nominated three times as national winners for excellence in research at the Ernest Just Symposium at MUSC, in Charleston, SC.
