Art is a part of LLI at AU because we have requests. These artists enjoyed four class sessions of learning and doing art.
During our trip at Biltmore Estate to view the Chihuly Art Exhibit, most of us posed at each of the beautiful artworks.
While visiting the museums in Washington, DC, we pause to pose for a picture with Nancy (right, tour guide, with Ionosphere). For the summer of 2019, join us for our trip to Boston and New York City!
Whether sharing his knowledge in writing or providing insight into scripture, Rev. and Professor Lawrence Webb brings excitement to his classes. He will share his book, Revelation: A Book of Hope, this fall. Doug Davison, also a multi-talented fellow, retired from teaching English and serving in the IT department at AU. Now, he finds time to participate in LLI courses, too.
Dr. Jonathan Jennings, Anderson University professor, leads a course in stargazing. The course included both in-class and outdoor sessions as we were amazed at what we could see at night...and what we learned to view early mornings, too.
In sessions to prepare us for the Chihuly Exhibit at Biltmore, David Locke held our attention throughout his session. When we arrived at Biltmore Estate and viewed Chihuly's work, we realized how well he had prepared us! The Chihuly Art Exhibit is through parts of October at Biltmore Estate!
On our trip to Washington, DC, partnering with Ionosphere, LLI participants join our tour guides, Lori and Nancy, for a chat and a smile at the camera!
Visiting the S.C. State Museum and the State House Building in Columbia was a spectacular trip! We toured the State House Building while greeting legislators and visiting both the House and Senate briefly. The amazing S.C. State Museum captured our attention for quite a while with the fascinating works.
One of our favorite courses is learning how to make truffles and the types of chocolate to enjoy and use at home in our baking.
LLI members left Anderson early one Wednesday morning to enjoy two performances of our recent graduate, Andrew Polston. Both performances (Newsies and Hello Dolly!)were in Valdosta, GA, and Andrew was lead in Newsies and close to lead in Hello Dolly!
