Mr. Jay Wright begins a second course on writing poetry! Participants are excited about this course, the book of poems they receive after the course, and, perhaps some may join the songwriting course later this semester.
Mr. Doug Patterson shares his passion for history! After teaching just one class for LLI, we know to invite him back for the fall!
It's not every day that a professor gets this kind of attention! Dr. Jonathan Jennings presented an intriguing first class discussion on "Stars Up Above: What's Up There Tonight"? Part of this course is class time together and outside time together to SEE what's in our sky each night!
Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher...Is this really a bird in our area? Dr. Andy Norris presented a session on our local birds with details and answered our questions about birding in a recent class.
Making mesh wreaths requires cutting, folding, using pipe cleaners to pull them together, and adding them to the wreath frame! It's great fun to be together learning more ideas from Ms. Tillirson.
Ms. Joy Tillirson is a favorite of LLI's participants. In the fall, she brought fresh greenery and a wealth of other objects for making wreaths for our doors for the holidays. This spring, Ms. Tillirson taught us how to make mesh wreaths!
Ms. Kathy Roser shares her passion for yoga with our members in the Anderson University yoga room! On the first day, participants begin relaxing and getting ready to learn.
A favorite course this spring was at the CocoBon Chocolatier (downtown Anderson). Six of our LLI members enjoyed making an ANGEL chocolate sculpture...just before Valentine's Day.
Dr. Tommy Watson (left) and Dr. Howard Kim shared an evening of music on January 21, MLK, Jr. Day. Dr. Watson supports LLI through his love of opera.
At the LLI Board and Advisory Council member dinner, good food, fun, and fellowship were enjoyed by all!
