Why teach at AU?

As a Christ follower, I wanted to be able to pray for and with my students. I also wanted to be able to do what I love to do in a Christian environment.

One-year degree in Spanish from Spanish Language Institute, eight years as an IMB Missionary to Mexico, certified in Pilates

More About

Terrie West Poore has been teaching and choreographing on the university level since 1992. Terrie also served as an International Mission Board missionary while living with her family in México. She currently teaches ballet, modern, tap, musical theatre jazz and choreography for Anderson University's Theatre Department and serves as the resident choreographer. (She continues to act and choreograph for many theaters in the Upstate. Terrie continues working professionally in the Southeast and is represented by Monarch Talent Agency in Charlotte, NC. Terrie has appeared in many regional as well as national TV commercials and she has worked on numerous film projects.)

Terrie enjoys the Christian environment, the students and her colleagues at Anderson University. She wants prospective students to know there is work for those who pursue fine arts degrees.
