Director of Institutional Research

Anderson University invites applications for the position of Director of Institutional Research. The Director of Institutional Research performs all necessary functions related to the collection, management, interpretation, and use of institutional data for planning, assessment, and decision-making in support of the University’s mission and strategic goals. The director proactively facilitates access to information maintained in the university’s administrative/student information system to support University operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data/information released in reports or studies, and providing data analysis, reporting, or research as needed to support institutional objectives. The Director will report directly to the Office of the Provost and works with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Legal, Human Resources, and other key stakeholders to ensure that the data management and use complies with regulatory requirements and security policies.

The successful candidate will possess a master’s degree in data analytics, research, statistics, or a related field. Knowledge equivalent to that gained through a doctoral program in a similar field is preferred. Previous working experience with data management, institutional research, SPSS/SAS/R or equivalent statistical software, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent visualization software, and SQL is required. Demonstrated skills in supervision, communication, and data information decision making essential.
