Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships

Anderson University invites applications for full-time Director of Financial Aid & Scholarships. The Director of Financial Aid & Scholarships serves as chief compliance officer for Title IV federal aid regulations and works closely with state and national agencies. The Director is an integral part of developing strategies for student access, success, and contributes to the achievement of the university’s enrollment and retention goals. This position will report to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services, providing regular feedback in the development, implementation, and administration of the university’s federal aid and scholarship policies and procedures. The Director will oversee operational activities within the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, providing leadership to a comprehensive financial aid team and program. Additionally, the Director will provide input to strategic efforts with financial aid analysis, continuous improvement, formulation of financial aid policy, benchmarking, including net tuition revenue and discount rate data; and will serve as an integral member of the Enrollment Management Leadership Team as well as primary contact for external state and federal groups related to student financial aid.

A successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least eight years financial aid related experience. Knowledge equivalent to that gained through a master’s degree is preferred. Previous experience with Workday Student and Workday Financial Aid preferred. A significant understanding of state and federal financial aid policies, procedures, and previous experience in the administration of a comprehensive student financial aid program is essential.  Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills also required, as well as impeccable personal integrity, trustworthiness, and high ethical standards.
