Counselor, Financial Aid and Scholarships
Anderson University’s Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships invites applications for a full-time position as Counselor. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Counseling, the person in this position assists with the everyday operations of the office ensuring top quality customer service to all students who seek assistance from the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships. Key responsibilities include counseling students on all aspects of financial aid, including satisfactory academic progress for federal aid, state scholarship eligibility, renewal and enhancement requirements, and professional judgment considerations. Additional tasks include handling intake and follow-up with students and parents on items needed and/or incomplete and assisting with completion of verification of student ISIR data as required.
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree or two years financial aid related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. In addition, strong customer service skills and MS Office skills also required. Previous experience with PowerFaids, Power Campus, Workday, and Department of Education systems preferred. Good math skills and abilities and ability to read, analyze, and interpret government regulations and general business publications essential.
