Athletic Trainer
Anderson University’s Sports Medicine Department invites applications for two full time, 10-month position as an Athletic Trainer. Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive Christian liberal arts university whose 350 student-athletes compete on 17 athletic teams at the NCAA Division II level, within the South Athletic Conference. Reporting to the Director of Sports Medicine, the staff athletic trainer plays an important role as a member of the sports medicine staff. The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate the overall healthcare of student-athletes, with primary responsibility for two sports. One position will work with the Associate Director of Sports Medicine to provide medical coverage for football. The other position includes primary responsibility for two of the following sports: men’s and women’s tennis, men’s soccer, women’s lacrosse, men’s lacrosse, men’s basketball, women’s volleyball, or softball. Sport responsibilities will be determined based on individual staff members’ area of expertise, experience, and preference. Additional duties may be assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine.
Candidates should possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Program. Current BOC certification is required, along with SC state athletic training certification (or eligible). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work well within a team, and good organizational skills are essential.
