Assistant Coach - Men's Basketball
Anderson University’s Athletic Department invites applications for Assistant Coach of Men’s Basketball. The Assistant Basketball Coach is responsible, in coordination and in support of the Head Basketball Coach, for the development and maintenance of an effective and competitive NCAA Division II basketball program. This position will assist with administration, recruitment and retention of all student athletes by developing a supportive Christian faith culture within the program while adhering to all NCAA rules and regulations. Additional responsibilities include preparation of detailed scouting reports; conducting pre-game warm-up activities; planning and organizing camp/clinic programs; participating in fundraising activities; and generating ideas for game day attendance and experience.
Knowledge equivalent to that gained through completion of a bachelor’s degree in addition to prior work experience in collegiate athletics programs is required, master's degree preferred. Knowledge and compliance of all rules and guidelines set by the NCAA Division II and South Atlantic Conference is necessary. Ability to uphold confidentiality, work collaboratively and exhibit Anderson University’s Christian mission through all interactions also required. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills essential.
