Student Happenings

Here at Anderson University, the students of the School of Nursing engage in a wide range of activities. From school sponsored organizations, to simply serving in the community at a local nursing home, the students of the School of Nursing serve the motto of the university, as well as the school’s motto of imago dei, “the image of God.” See below for what our students have been up to:

Blessing of the Hands

In a ceremony sponsored by the Baptist Nursing Fellowship, “Blessing of the Hands” dedicated the next 15 months of the Anderson University nursing students’ successful educational journey for God’s purpose and glory.

Clean Start

Students accompanied faculty to Clean Start during Thanksgiving break. This program allows for homeless citizens to have a place to acquire new clothing, a warm place to sleep, clean up, and have a deliciously, hot meal. Several faculty and students from the ABSN track attended this function.

Palmetto Gold

Each year, a nursing student is awarded a scholarship from the South Carolina Nurses Foundation.  This scholarship is the Palmetto Gold Award. The student is nominated by the faculty from the School of Nursing and selected by the nursing faculty and deans from across the state.
