Anderson University South Carolina School of the Arts II Powerful GAMAC"GAMAC and AU have been longtime partners in bringing great music to Anderson, but this is our first collaborative performance,” said Dana Gencarelli, Executive Director of GAMAC. “It's an honor to work with our colleagues at the South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University and a thrill to showcase such talented students. The GAMAC Board of Directors, staff and musicians hope that this collaboration will be the first of many in the years to come."

The South Carolina School of the Arts at AU is hosting performances on Friday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m., and again on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 3 p.m.

Dr. Andrew Pettus, assistant professor of music and director of instrumental activities at Anderson as well as the Anderson Symphony, is directing the performances. He said a highlight of the show will be performances by two world-renowned soloists: Joshua Williams, recent winner of the International Horn Society's Professional Division Solo Competition, and Anderson University’s Dr. Howard Kim on piano.

“And the second half will blow you away with the last movement of Mahler’s Symphony No. 2,” Dr. Pettus said.
