Fall 2021 - Where we are… and where we're going

Together our students inspire us to stay the course and keep the faith

One of the best parts of working for the Anderson University Office of Marketing and Communication is learning—and being inspired by—the compelling work of our students, grads, professors and contributors. In this issue of Anderson University Magazine, we present a feast of their projects, and one in particular resonated with us fellow communicators: the story about a podcast created by AU students.

In the story about The AUdibility Podcast, students Lukas Heisler and Jae Cox talk about the “third space” idea, where people can build community beyond their homes and workplaces. Heisler and Cox want their podcast to be a “third space” of community building where people can hear encouraging conversations that explore ideas that range from faith to belonging. We hope that Anderson University Magazine functions as a “third space” as well, where you can participate in the AU community and explore subjects from new plant species to the life journey of the dean of one of AU’s colleges or schools.

You can’t read the stories in this issue of Anderson University Magazine without feeling inspired by the community of which you’re an integral part. Please pray for us as we journey together through the fall semester. We continue to see records in applications and enrollment and thank God for this increase. Please continue to thank the Lord with us through your prayers and gifts, and we’ll continue to share these inspiring tales as we hear them. To contribute gifts, please use the enclosed envelope or visit: andersonuniversity.edu/giving. To share your AU stories, email Executive Director of Public Relations Andrew Beckner at abeckner@andersonuniversity.edu.

May God richly bless you through autumn and the holiday season,
– Anderson University Magazine

Anderson Magazine Spring 2021 - It's time to Celebrate!

If you missed this edition, it's about joy and celebration.

If all goes well, by the time you’re reading this issue of AU Magazine, you would have celebrated the holidays, be headed towards spring, and hearing better COVID-19 news. From our end, we’re celebrating the completion of a historic semester at Anderson University. While many college students were required to learn from home through video-conferencing applications, by God’s grace, fall 2020 students at AU completed the semester on campus with physical distancing and mask-use precautions.

And while that news alone is worth 1,000 “Hallelujahs!”, we are pleased to report many more reasons in this edition of AU Magazine.

With joy we share these exciting stories and thank you for your loyal interest and support of educating traditional, adult, online and graduate students at AU. We are keeping you in our prayers in 2021. We are grateful for your continued prayers and gifts. Contributions by mail and online through andersonuniversity.edu/giving support the work at AU, which we can celebrate in future issues of AU Magazine.
