Nurse Practitioner

Anderson University’s Thrive Wellness Center invites applications for a 9-month (34 week), full-time, position as Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner provides for direct care of students with advanced nursing skills by utilizing assessment, diagnostic and treatment options within a defined scope of practice and following established protocols. The Nurse Practitioner provides nursing leadership and direction for the student health office and assists in the implementation of the department’s philosophy and goals, standards for nursing practice, and the management and development of nursing personnel in a Christian environment. Additionally, this position serves as an effective liaison to doctors and other medical professionals, university offices, students, and parents. Additional related duties and medical consultation after standard working hours may be required.

Knowledge equivalent to that gained through a master’s degree and three to five years of Nurse Practitioner experience in adult, womens, or family health is required. A current nursing license in the State of South Carolina and Nurse Practitioner Certification is required. Current Professional CPR standards must be met and maintained as well as a demonstrated proficiency in the Electronic Health Record system. Proven experience in high-stress or emergency situations and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially is essential.
