Assistant Director – Financial Aid Awarding

Anderson University’s Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position as Assistant Director for Awarding. Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive, liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. The Assistant Director for Awarding manages the packaging and awarding of anticipated aid and disbursements and oversees the South Carolina Tuition Grants program. This position is responsible for remaining current on federal and State regulations to ensure compliance. The Assistant Director manages the external award process, sends award notices, ensures accuracy of aid packages and manages the transfer monitoring process. This position is responsible for the determination of federal satisfactory academic progress (SAP), overseeing the State Tuition Grant program, the private and PLUS loan programs, Direct Loans, and managing federal reconciliation and reporting to COD.

Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree with at least three years of experience working in higher education, preferably in financial aid. Familiarity with federal student financial aid programs, ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, and the ability to interpret government regulations and general business publications is essential. Candidates with excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills, and a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office are encouraged to apply.
