University Registrar

Anderson University’s Office of Enrollment Management invites applications for a full-time, twelve-month position as a University Registrar. Primary Purpose

The University Registrar will be to provide oversight of traditional undergraduate programs, non-traditional undergraduate programs, and graduate programs related to Office of the Registrar. Ensure the services to students, faculty, staff, and the public meet the objectives of Anderson University. The Registrar is in charge of all communication systems that are vital to the entry of student information. With an emphasis on personal attention at the University, this position will have direct contact with students and parents in answering questions and addressing concerns. With the overarching goal of upholding the mission of Anderson University, the University Registrar is a member of and provides leadership to the Registrar staff and serves as a member of the Enrollment Management Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment Management, directs and coordinates registration activities and consults with other University officials to devise registration schedules and procedures and interprets registration policies for faculty and students. Maintains policies & procedures relevant to records and academic policies. Responsible, with the Office of the Provost, for the semi-annual Graduation ceremonies. Serves as a participating member in Enrollment Management Leadership Team and maintains contact with all other participating members associated with the execution of processes in the Office of the Registrar. Maintains current knowledge of FERPA and monitors compliance. Provides leadership to the entire Registrar unit.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of experience in administrative or professional capacities required, including, direct responsibility for student records, department activities and reports, and registration activities and reports. Master’s degree is preferred. Understanding of institutional policies and procedures as well as federal regulations. Ability to work on multiple software systems, such as Ellucian Power Campus and National Student Clearinghouse is essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills, exceptional organizational and time management skills, and a keen attention to detail are needed. Must be able to connect, motivate, inspire people and lead a team.
