Part-Time Faculty - MBA Marketing Strategy

Anderson University and the College of Business invite applications for a part-time position as Instructor of Marketing. The position starts in August, 2019.  Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive, liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. Anderson University’s MBA is ACBSP-accredited and offers concentrations in HR, Supply Chain, Healthcare Leadership and Marketing. Anderson University also offers a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership.

Candidates should be prepared to teach a full range of MBA Marketing or Strategy courses. This may include one or more of the following areas: MBA – Marketing Management, Advertising, Consumer Behavior and Marketing Analytics, Promotional Marketing, Internet Marketing or Business Strategy. Teaching load is 18 semester credits per academic year, including advising. DBA/PHD in Marketing (or DBA/PHD in Marketing or Management for Strategy classes) is required. Prior online teaching is preferred.  The strategy class uses CAPSIM simulation.

Applications are received and considered on a continuous basis for an adjunct faculty pool. Adjunct faculty are hired to teach sections on an as-needed basis. Review of applications occurs continuously until needed positions are filled. Depending on the need, adjunct professors may be asked to teach exclusively online, in a hybrid course or exclusively seated course.

Review of applicants typically take place during the first part of each semester. Applicants can expect a phone interview with a Dean/Associate Dean and interview with the Associate Provost. Applicants will be required to submit all unofficial transcripts. Upon hire, there is a required data security training and sexual harassment training. Adjunct professors will also complete a Canvas training and are expected to attend the College of Business part-time faculty orientation/yearly meeting. Adjunct faculty will be evaluated based on a teaching evaluation form that outlines the standards for quality teaching in addition to student evaluation ratings.
