Fast Facts

I like to focus on the basic techniques in a string methods class. I also cover areas in string history, sound production and care of instruments. We also do a unit on methodology and professional matters like music advocacy and copyright law.

I was originally hired to help teach applied lessons and string methods. There was a need and I filled it. I do enjoy the students!

Music is something that speaks to everyone. A degree in Music performance is very focused and allows for a strong liberal arts education. A Music Education degree is more broad and can allow you to continue the lineage of musical knowledge for the next generations. Music majors are also appreciated for their ability to think critically and accept criticism. Every business wants people in their organization to be trainable and able to work independently!
