Billing Information

Student bills for tuition and fees are available online approximately one month prior to the payment deadline. Log into the Student Account Center at https://andersonuniversity.afford.com/Home to view account balance information. The online information reflects the student’s charges and financial aid based on the student’s registration.

Students have the option to designate authorized payers to view and pay student bills, such as parents, spouses, relatives, guardians, or employers. Instructions for setting up authorized payer accounts and making online payments can be found here.

If your fees change for any reason after your initial payment is made (i.e. housing adjustment, meal plan addition, change in schedule, etc.), it is the student's responsibility to ensure prompt payment of the balance is made. Login to the Student Account Center to view your current charges and payment status.

Tuition and fees must be paid in full by the due date to avoid cancelation of the student’s schedule. If your schedule is canceled for non-payment, you will need to pay in full or set up a payment plan in order to rebuild your schedule. Unfortunately, it is very difficult for the student to recreate his/her original schedule after it has been canceled.

Payment plans are offered through Tuition Management Systems (TMS).

Billing Frequently Asked Questions

I am being billed part time, but I should be full time. What do I need to do?

Check your schedule to verify that you are enrolled in at least 12 credit hours. If you have classes pending approval, please reach out to your academic adviser or the Assistant to the Dean of your college.

I am expecting financial aid, but it is not showing on my bill, why?

Anticipated aid will be processed every other week so that financial aid updates to your most current award amount. If you recently submitted documents, your aid will show after the next anticipated aid process is completed. If you have an estimated Palmetto Fellows, LIFE or HOPE Scholarship award, your award will not be final until your final, official high school transcript is received in the AU Office of Admission. Check Financial Aid Documents in Self Service to see if you have a document required for your award. You may need to complete a Master Promissory Note and/or entrance counseling for a Direct Loan. The S.C. Residency Form and S.C. State Certification Form are required for South Carolina aid. If you recently submitted required documentation and/or registered for classes, your aid will show after the next anticipated aid process is completed.

What is an Overload Fee and why has it been charged to my account?

Full time tuition charges are based on enrollment of 12-18 credit hours. Overload Fees are assessed when students are enrolled in more than 18 credit hours.

How can I get a copy of my class schedule and current bill?

Your class schedule can be viewed under the Classes tab in Self Service. Your bill can be viewed at https://andersonuniversity.afford.com/Home.

Can financial aid pay for my books?

Students whose financial aid exceeds the charges on their student account are eligible to charge books. A list of eligible students and the amount they may charge is sent to eCampus about three weeks before the semester starts. Only the amount you actually charge will be posted to your account. This is not additional aid; you are using aid you've been awarded and charging your books will reduce any refund you may receive.

What type of payments do you accept?

Students can pay several different ways. You can pay online with e-check or credit/debit card; there is no convenience fee for paying via e-check. Debit and credit card payments are assessed a non-refundable convenience fee based on the intelligent rate of the type of card used. You can mail checks directly to Anderson Central or pay in person with cash or check. Student ID and phone number need to be written on the check.
