According to Steve Moss, Director of Human Resources at Synnex Corporation:
“It has been SYNNEX’s privilege to host interns from Anderson University over the past several years. We’ve found your students to be bright, eager to learn, and hard-working. What really sets AU interns apart from their peers, however, is their level of “business readiness.” It’s obvious that they have been exposed to a great deal of practical business experience in their studies and are well-prepared to enter the professional work force.”
Internship summary
The largest amount of internships were in the service sector with close to 40%, finance with almost 20% and manufacturing at 10%. 74% of our interns were in a paid internship which signals a return of the economy in our area. Employers are looking to our internships as “pre-hire”. It is my opinion, that our area will continue to see increase economically especially in the manufacturing sector.
10% of our interns were international students who all went abroad to do their internships. They went back or to Great Britain, Germany, China and Canada.
A big success this year has been the “internship fair” held on 4 different days throughout the year (October through February). Local companies wanting to hire our interns come to interview 4 to 8 students. This activity is provided at no charge to the companies. If you are interested please contact:
