AU Trojan

It’ll prepare you to lead, and improve healthcare—from the clinic where you work to the policies that govern our system.  A Doctor of Nursing Practice will teach you to use research to design, test, implement and assess how we deliver healthcare. It’ll also place you on the leading edge of the nurse practitioner field, which is adopting the degree as the one you need to become a nurse practitioner.

Concentrations

At AU you can choose from four concentrations, three of which you can start as an RN with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Advanced Practice

Executive Leadership

Family Nurse Practitioner

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Our nursing instructors are all practicing nurses who understand the healthcare climate and can share with you the latest developments in the field.  All classes are taught online, so you can learn anywhere. You will meet with your cohort and professors in person periodically for intensive workdays, depending on your degree program.

You can complete your degree in nine semesters (that’s three years if you take 6-10 credits per semester). If you start your Doctor of Nursing Practice with a Master of Science in Nursing, you can earn your degree in as few as five semesters.
