The symposium honors the work of Ernest Just and supports diversity in medical science and health care. Students are accompanied by professors, Diana Ivankovic, Chris Hopkins, Casey Hopkins, and Ashlyn Smith.
AU students attended the Ernest Just Symposium at MUSC. Eslie Aguilar (center) won the research award, selected from participants all over the US. This is the second year in a row that an AU student won a research award at MUSC. Last year Rakish Taylor won it.
Eslie Aguilar, under the supervision of Dr. Diana Ivankovic, and Ryan Pittman, under the supervision of Dr. David Prager, presented, "Using Periodic Patterns to Statistically Verify Local Warming Trends in Low Latitude Locations," at the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities Research Symposium at Milliken & Company in Spartanburg, S.C. on Feb.18, 2016.
