Anderson University students visit Atlanta filming locations used in Captain America: Civil War. Phillip Gattorna, Patrick Bush, Jonathan Bruce, Lucy Kirkpatrick, Zhannel Fogg, Judy Price, Rachel Greene, Caroline Hearne and Jeanna Turner.
The Communication Department sent 25 students to visit filming locations in Atlanta. Locations were used in various productions including: Black Panther, Captain America: Civil War, Ant Man, Hunger Games, Jumanji, Fast and Furious and many more.

Blake Ross, lead front-end developer for Jackson Marketing, Motorsports & Events, shows off an augmented reality app his team has developed to students visiting from the COM 321 Public Relations Writing and Production class. The app allows a potential customer for a product (in this case a truck tire) to see the product on a mobile device as if it is literally in the room. AU students are now learning the basics of mobile app development through a new minor in the Communication Department.
Dr. Jason Neill presents on the topic of forgiveness at the 2018 South Carolina Counseling Association annual conference. This conference is attended by professionals in the mental health field from all over the state of South Carolina.
Alena Turner and Mary-Peyton Knapp presented their research on the Zika Virus at the Milliken Company in Spartanburg. Dr. Ivankovic and Dr. Prager helped guide them through this research process.
