Rebecca Albert has extensive experience with administration, mentoring and networking. Having held positions in different business fields and nonprofit organizations, Rebecca is able to tailor her skills to meet the needs to various students. She has increased efficiency in a number of her roles and is very effective at teaching youth and young adults. She has worked to develop new programs as well as planned several events. Rebecca is able to interact directly with current students, alumni, and employers.
Rebecca was born and raised in Anderson, SC, where she serves as the Director of Career Planning and Professional Development at Anderson University. She received her undergraduate degree in Business Management and Human Resource Management in 2008 before going on to receive her M.B.A. in 2010, both from Anderson University where she serves on the Diversity Task Force.
Rebecca is very involved with her community, having served on numerous boards and organizations. These include: participant in the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Citizen’s Academy; The Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce, where she has graduated from Leadership Anderson Class 33; involvement with Anderson Rising Young Professionals as the Chair; and serves on the advisory board of Junior Leadership Anderson as the Chair. Rebecca also is involved with the United Way, where she is serving on the Education Vision Council. Rebecca is also the recipient of Anderson’s 20 Under 40 award.
“I enjoy the endless opportunities that employment at a faith-based institution allows me,” Rebecca says. “Being able to impact students’ lives and better direct them in the path that God has for them is empowering. I find it very rewarding to interact daily with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and employers in my efforts to further develop this department.”
