What classes do you teach at Anderson
American History, American Government, Foreign Policy
What year did you start teaching at AU
Why teach at AU?
I wanted to be at a place that engages both the faculty and students in the totality of the human experience: family; faith; and knowledge. Most other places view this as separate spheres of life, but not AU.
Reading, traveling, and spending time with my wife and three daughters.
Places you've lived
I have lived in Miami, FL; Gainesville, Fl; and Anderson, SC.
What do you find most enjoyable about working at Anderson University?
The two things that I find most enjoyable about working at AU is that the faculty treat each either more like family rather then competitors and that students actively support each other, both in and out of class.
How would you describe your classes to someone who has never attended one?
Although I teach primarily introductory courses, I do my best to hone in on the most important idea and then draw connections between the past, the present, and the future.
