Flexible Starting Points
Our Master of Science in Nursing programs enable you to start your program with either an associate’s degree with an RN license or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Follow the link below to identify the course sequence you’ll need to earn your degree.
Throughout the program, our instructors will help you explore the intersection of knowledge, service, and faith. You will participate in a Faith and Learning Seminar, investigating topics such as Servant Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Christian Worldview, and Intelligent Design.
Flexible Learning Experience
At AU, we offer a flexible program catered to you, the working nurse. If you are an RN with an associate degree, you can apply directly to the MSN program. However, you will need to complete a few general education and science requirements, along with two bridge courses: Nursing Research and Professional Role Development, each worth three credit hours. After taking the bridge courses, you will be ready begin work on your degree. If you are an RN with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, you can directly enter the program.
All classes occur online, so you can learn anywhere. You will still meet your cohort and professors in person during a three-day session, held once per semester for four consecutive semesters.
Coursework and Training
In the Executive Leadership program, you will take MBA classes that will prepare you for positions of authority and for the corporate healthcare setting. Your classes will include Management Thought & Application, Healthcare Finance & Economics, Public Health in Disaster Management, and Healthcare Policy & Structure. You will complete 41 hours of coursework.
Through these courses, you will gain practical knowledge in organizational and management theory, with a particular focus on budgeting, accounting, finance, strategic planning, and organizational development.
Anderson University works hard to make your educational goals affordable. For the MSN in Executive Leadership, the cost per credit hour is approximately $600. Loans are available.
The Executive Leadership concentration at Anderson University will prepare you to serve as a Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Nursing Executive, Chief Executive Officer, or in other executive roles. Salaries for nurses in executive leadership range from $80,000 to $200,000.
