Barnett and Fuller Join College of Christian Studies at Anderson University

The College of Christian Studies at Anderson University has added two experienced pastors as the two newest members of its growing faculty.

Dr. Kris Barnett is joining AU as assistant professor of Christian ministry and will serve as Associate Dean for the Clamp Graduate School of Christian Ministry. In his new role, Barnett will be responsible for teaching primarily graduate courses in ministry studies, leadership and hermeneutics as well as helping with assessment and administrative responsibilities for the graduate school.

Dr. Chuck Fuller comes to AU as Assistant Professor of Christian Studies. He will teach on a wide range of subjects, with a particular focus on ministry studies, leadership, and related areas.

“These two new faculty members bring nearly two decades of pastoral experience to their task, in addition to outstanding academic credentials,” said Michael Duduit, dean of the College of Christian Studies. “They will be critical assets as Anderson University’s College of Christian Studies continues to develop as one of the region’s outstanding centers for ministry education.”

Barnett is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity in Biblical Languages (2001) and a PhD in theology with a concentration in preaching (2008). Prior to joining Anderson, Barnett served as pastor to three different churches; the most recent was East Pickens Baptist Church in Pickens, S.C.

Fuller is a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity and PhD in Christian preaching with additional studies in systematic theology and philosophy. Before arriving at Anderson, he served as pastor at Bethany Baptist Church in Louisville, Ky., and adjunct professor of Christian preaching at Boyce College at Southern. He has more than 13 years of pastoral ministry.
