Our location

Located in the Upstate region of South Carolina, the city of Anderson has been recognized as the "Friendliest City in South Carolina." Anderson is a regional destination city for shopping and dining, as well as outdoor sports at nearby Lake Hartwell and the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Located less than 30 minutes from downtown Greenville and two hours from Atlanta and Charlotte, Anderson students have easy access to vibrant professional, cultural and recreational opportunities, and are within driving distance of South Carolina's beaches.

Our students

We welcome more than 3,000 students from 31 states, 20 foreign countries and a wide range of denominations. Fourteen percent of our students are ethnic minorities. Approximately 70 percent of students live on campus. Sixty eight percent of new AU students graduate from Anderson University.

Our service

Our students engage in 10 college-sponsored mission trips each year, while AU students and employees contribute an average of 14,000 hours of local community service per year.

In recent years, US News & World Report ranked Anderson University among the top 11 universities (public and private) in the South for students accumulating the least educational debt.
