The School of Nursing invites applications for a full-time faculty position also serving as PMHNP Coordinator. Anderson University recognizes three paths for faculty employment: Annual Appointment, Professional Path, and Tenure-Track. Annual Appointment faculty are hired as instructors; their role focuses on teaching and learning. Faculty in the Professional Path focus on teaching and learning and service as well, and after six years of exemplary performance, they become eligible for multi-year contracts and may promote through faculty ranks. Tenure-Track faculty focus on teaching and learning, service, and scholarship as well. After six years of exemplary performance, Tenure-Track faculty earn tenure and may promote through faculty ranks. All three paths are also evaluated for mission fit.
Position includes: teaching of graduate level nursing courses, oversight of PMHNP tracks; data analysis specific to AU’s psych / mental health nurse practitioner tracks ensuring program quality that meets accreditation standards; management of clinical experiences; oversight of student academic progress; and supervision of curriculum development, implementation and evaluation.
Requirements: Earned doctorate in nursing with national certification as a psych / mental health nurse practitioner from a regionally accredited institution; an unencumbered active license as an RN in SC or another Compact state; and two years of clinical experience as an RN or advanced practice nurse related to psychiatric mental health. Experience as a nursing educator in an academic setting is preferred.
